At the op panel, User Tools/System Settings/File Transfer/SMTP server. The SSL settings you see on the web interface are for configuring the SSL for the Web page interface ( ) Those model Ricoh's don't support SSL over SMTP.There is a server 2008 box plugged into the same switch as the copiers which sends us backup exec notifications via aspmx.l. on port 25 and the notifications continue to come through. Although we had been having issues with our Internet which is what caused our ISP to change our hardware and bonding service, I don't see why this would affect the scan to email. I'm completely stuck on why it isn't working, it is hard to locate what could of caused it to stop working as it was only reported to us two weeks ago and the log shows the last successful scan to email as 11th April. Both copiers our in a "trusted devices" group on our firewall which allows any traffic to any service originating from these devices out. The copiers we use scan to email on our a Ricoh Aficio MP 7500 and a Ricoh Aficio MP 6001 . I've since tried using servers, and on either 465 or 587 having added our public IP's to the SMTP relay in our Google Apps Control panel. Previously we had it setup using server aspmx.l. on port 25.
I've been using the information from here on how to set up scan to email: but have had no luck. To confirm you can reach our firewall with our public IP address. The new bonding hardware gives our firewall a private IP so we had to login to the bonding router and setup a host allocation so that all traffic get forwarded to our firewall. The only change which has recently happened is out ISP changed our bonded Internet hardware around the same time and we were required to change our public IP's.
I can't seem to be able to get it working with our Google Apps email. The last successful scan to email we had working was on the 11th April, sometime after that it stopped working.
